Choose the right friends for an exciting life
Continuous learning and self-development is a big deal for me. I have always felt the need to constantly learn, upgrade and improve myself, regardless of which stage of life I am in. I am convinced that that is the key to living a gratifying life.
It is also because of this that I love hanging around people who love learning as well. I also have many women in my life who lead absolutely exciting lives.
I appreciate the time together with them. Our beliefs are similar, are values compatible, and we always have so much fun discussing all kinds of issues. Every time I meet them, I feel energized and inspired.
Their lives are never boring. No matter how busy life gets, they never forget to love themselves, and keep learning. They are also great friends—no matter what trouble I got myself into, they are always there to lend a listening ear and their emotional support.
These friends find joy in their careers, their lives, their marriage and their children. I am so impressed by how they balance all the roles they have, and continue being an inspiration to others. They strive to keep a work-life balance, and never let the hectic pace of life get to them.
Every time I meet them, I feel like I am upgraded a little—not just in terms of knowledge, but also spiritually.
I truly believe that women need to have friends like these. We can share exciting activities, our career insights, family stories and connect with each other on a deep level. I love the fact that we are all independent and strong, yet we are also each other’s support system.
Did you know? People who love learning are always curious about things. They are always energetic, and they don’t get tired easily. They look forward to each new day and the adventures it has to offer.
The older I get, the more I understand that it is not easy to have friends like these. Yet they are so important. These are the forces that will inspire you to be better, and be there to catch you when you fall.
Friends, success does not mean you should stop learning. In fact, you need to keep up and keep moving, or else this unforgiving world will leave you behind. Learning and growing is not a burdensome task. In fact, with the right people, learning can be the most rewarding and joyful things one can do.
Let’s put it this way. Everyone has the right to choose how they one to live. Maybe you are not one of those that seek constant growth. Maybe life is already giving you enough stress, and you just want to be comfortable and stress free. But if you open your eyes, you will realize that the people who are curious and excited are also the ones that lead happier and more youthful lives. Why don’t you try it too?
